The G League held its annual draft on Saturday. Gamers who’ve signed a contract with the G League and whose rights weren’t already held by a G League group had been eligible to be drafted.
The South Bay Lakers chosen Dillion Jones with the primary general choose. The 6-foot-5 guard was waived by the Washington Wizards through the preseason. Jones was previously a first-round choose of the Oklahoma Metropolis Thunder on the 2024 NBA Draft.
The Osceola Magic chosen Tyler Smith with the second general choose. The 6-foot-9 ahead was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks forward of this season when the group needed to minimize their roster to fifteen gamers on normal contract. Smith was previously a second-round choose of the Bucks on the 2024 NBA Draft.
Gamers signed to G League contracts are NBA free brokers and are eligible to signal with any NBA group. The G League season begins on November 7 with the G League Tip-Off Event. The G League common season will start on December 19.
