CSAI projects thriving nationwide – Field Hockey Canada

Stick Collectively programming succeeding in communities throughout Canada

Discipline Hockey Canada is excited to replace our members on the activation of this 12 months’s Group Sport for All Initiative (CSAI) by celebrating its dedication to serving underserved communities throughout Canada. By the assist of the Authorities of Canada’s Group Sport for All Initiative (CSAI), Discipline Hockey Canada has secured $800,000 in funding over two years. This primary disbursement of funding enabled the launch of 60 community-based subject hockey tasks throughout 10 provinces and one territory, reaching over 90 communities and serving nearly 30,000 contributors.

This funding is a large step in the direction of Discipline Hockey Canada’s purpose to develop the game via making subject hockey extra accessible and inclusive for all Canadians. The CSAI is designed to ship for underserved communities, eradicating boundaries and growing participation amongst under-represented teams, together with Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQI+ people, low-income households, individuals with disabilities, newcomers, and seniors. Atlantic Discipline Hockey Membership – Halifax, Nova Scotia 

Led by Alan Wintermeyer and Tess Akland, the Atlantic Discipline Hockey Membership is making spectacular strides in Halifax via its Stick Collectively initiative. With over 300 contributors engaged thus far, the membership has partnered with organizations like YMCA and ISANS to supply free or low-cost subject hockey classes to newcomers and low-income households. Faculty outreach has been a serious focus, with demos at over 15 colleges and greater than 250 college students already launched to the game. The membership is one other nice instance of what FHC’s Stick Collectively assist can generate. Whistler Discipline Hockey Membership – Whistler, British Columbia

Play for all Hockey ID – Victoria, BC
