Blake Snell shut down from throwing in Dodgers injury worry

The Dodgers are shutting down Blake Snell.

The southpaw pitcher “didn’t really feel nice” after taking part in catch on Tuesday, in keeping with supervisor Dave Roberts.

He’ll reportedly be re-evaluated when the workforce returns to Los Angeles this weekend. 

The Dodgers are planning to “slow-play the throwing” with Snell, per the Los Angeles Occasions.

The Athletic reported that Snell “may go for extra imaging” on his arm. 

Earlier this week, Snell admitted to the Orange County Register that “the ache [in his shoulder] lingers right here and there.” 

“Hey — I’m 32 now, not 23. As soon as I get throwing, I’m good,” Snell mentioned. “After I play catch, I don’t really feel it. After I get out right here, I’m good. It’s like once I get up, I gotta get it going.”

Snell has been on the injured record since early April after being recognized with left shoulder irritation.

The 2-time Cy Younger award winner had made simply two begins for the Dodgers this season, tossing 9 innings with a 2.00 ERA. 

Snell signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the Dodgers over the offseason after opting out of a cope with the Giants. 

Accidents have hampered the veteran starter all through his MLB profession. 

Snell has thrown greater than 130 innings in a season simply twice in 10 years on the massive league stage.
