Britain’s Abbi Pulling has reclaimed the 2024 F1 Academy title that was revoked this week by securing all three pole positions in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
The 21-year-old Alpine driver celebrated her championship victory in Qatar final week. However after the second race on the Lusail Worldwide Circuit was cancelled due to barrier repairs, organisers determined so as to add a 3rd race to the Yas Marina schedule as an alternative.
That meant her 83-point lead over Doriane Pin of Mercedes was not sufficient to be mathematically sure of the title with 84 obtainable at spherical seven in Abu Dhabi.
Within the all-female sequence, drivers rating 25 factors for a win, two for pole and one level for quickest lap.
Pulling took all three poles for the season finale on Friday, which means she was topped the winner for the second time in every week.
