The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forwards Trent Frederic and Max Jones and the rights to ahead Petr Hauser (by way of New Jersey) from the Boston Bruins in change for defenseman Max Wanner, a 2025 second-round draft decide and a 2026 fourth-round draft decide.
Jones has spent most of this season with the AHL’s Windfall Bruins, recording 13 objectives and eight assists for 21 factors in 38 video games. He has additionally appeared in seven NHL video games with Boston.
A seventh-year professional, Jones has compiled 29 objectives and 23 assists for 52 factors in 89 profession AHL video games with Windfall and San Diego. Jones was chosen by Anaheim within the first spherical (twenty fourth general) of the 2016 NHL Draft and has 31 objectives and 31 assists for 62 factors in 265 profession NHL video games with the Geese and Bruins.
Wanner is his second professional season after being chosen by the Oilers within the seventh spherical of the 2021 NHL Draft. He has one objective and one help in 22 video games with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors this season after notching seven objectives and 10 assists in 68 video games as a rookie in 2023-24.
