“It is unbelievable. We set ourselves to win the comp and we now have carried out that. We now have received matchwinners 1-11 and we now have been a constant facet for the final 11 years. 100 per cent, the one focus was on successful the sport. I used to be fairly nervous watching on the finish however Lewis smacked it and could not be any happier. The aim was to be on the finish however we received the sport so cannot blame. It is about enjoying along with your mates and successful along with your mates. Edgbaston is an incredible place to play and it felt like a homeground,” Smeed mentioned on the post-match presentation.

Successful captain, Lewis Gregory, mentioned

“We wish to win it the arduous method, do not we! Acquired off to an incredible powerplay, to tug it again to solely chasing 180 [195], the blokes did an incredible job. Smeedy [Will Smeed], Dicko [Sean Dickson], was superb to look at. It is a lot nicer to be on the market and they didn’t go too far-off from us. It was only one over, and it was again to 10s after that – we knew that. Tremendous happy for the lads. We now have received matchwinners all through our squad and on these huge events, it was about them stepping up. We noticed that tonight and we noticed that with Dicko within the quarter-final. Significantly better wicket than this morning and than earlier years. It was an excellent cricket wicket,” Gregory expressed himself.
