The 2028 Los Angeles Olympic basketball competitors will start on July 12, 2028, two days earlier than the opening ceremony on July 14.
It’s not clear whether or not the boys’s or girls’s event, or each competitions, will kick off on that date.
“This adjustment permits the quarterfinals to be performed over two days and also will be certain that no sport will begin sooner than (midday), enhancing the general expertise for gamers, groups, followers and broadcasters,” introduced FIBA in a press launch.
A preliminary schedule launched final month confirmed three video games on each July 12 and July 13.
The bronze medal video games are scheduled for July 28 and July 29. The gold medal video games are scheduled for July 29 and July 30.
