Two-time F1 champion Fernando Alonso was pressured to overlook the opening observe at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix on account of a “muscular damage in his again.”
The Spaniard was be unable to participate within the opening one-hour observe session on the Hungaroringdue to a “muscular damage in his again” which developed after the Belgian GP.
Aston Martin has issued a brief assertion on Friday morning, confirming that Alonso would proceed to obtain therapy. Former Formulation 2 champion Felipe Drugovich, who acts because the Silverstone-based staff’s reserve driver, changed Alonso in FP1.
“Within the days following the Belgian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso has been managing a muscular damage in his again. As he continues with therapy this morning, he has chosen to take a seat out of FP1,” the staff said.
“Felipe Drugovich will drive in FP1 alongside Lance Stroll. A call will then be made on Fernando’s participation in FP2 and the rest of the weekend sooner or later.”
Following the opening observe, the British outfit confirmed Alonso will return to motion for the second observe session.
“Fernando will likely be again within the AMR25 for FP2 this afternoon. He selected to take a seat out the opening observe session to restrict his time within the automobile as he manages a muscular damage in his again.
“Having undergone additional therapy this morning and medically cleared by the FIA, Fernando will likely be again within the AMR25 alongside Lance.
“Felipe Drugovich delivered a busy FP1 programme with Lance earlier at the moment, accumulating necessary information because the staff continues to guage current automobile updates.”
