It wasn’t even a Mets house run that fired up Brandon Nimmo.
On Tuesday, Nimmo watched Washington’s CJ Abrams take a low-and-away fastball from Griffin Canning and carry it the alternative method. Enjoying left, Nimmo ranged again — and again and again — after which leapt on the wall, a pair toes too quick to rob what turned a fifth-inning house run.
After the body, Nimmo jogged again to the dugout and noticed Clay Holmes and A.J. Minter sitting subsequent to one another.
“Hey, boys,” Nimmo introduced to the first-year Mets who had not been correctly acquainted with the whims and seasons of Citi Subject. “ that point I used to be speaking about? It’s right here.”
