For the primary time, the UFC octagon is in Des Moines, Iowa for tonight’s UFC Battle Evening: Sandhagen vs. Figueiredo occasion at Wells Fargo Area.
The occasion is headlined by a bantamweight bout between No. 4 ranked Cory Sandhagen and former flyweight champion and No. 5 ranked bantamweight Deiveson Figueiredo.
Each fighters will enter Saturday’s important occasion coming off a loss. Sandhagen misplaced to Umar Nurmagomedov through unanimous choice final August. The loss snapped a three-fight profitable streak.
Figueiredo was defeated by former bantamweight titleholder Petr Yan in his final struggle. He moved as much as the 135-pound weight class after shedding the flyweight title in January 2023. He reeled off three consecutive wins earlier than shedding to Yan.
