‘I’ll step it up next weekend’

Lando Norris recovered from his woeful qualifying yesterday to take P3 on the flag within the 2025 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. On the grid the McLaren driver reacted to his race.

Within the opening laps Norris was slapped with a 5 second time penalty for being out of place in the beginning. “I did not suppose I used to be that far ahead I suppose,” the Briton says in the course of the grid interviews after the race.

“A troublesome race after all. I made too many errors with the overtakes. The out of place was a messy race for me and disappointing to not deliver house a 1-2 for my mother and father as a result of that may have been pretty at house. A troublesome one, however nonetheless a couple of positives,” added Norris relating to his P3 end in Bahrain.
