Columbus, GA – The Columbus River Dragons defeated the Athens Rock Lobsters in regulation final night time, 3-1, clinching the third place seed within the FPHL Commissioner’s Cup Playoffs.
Kyle Moore scored the primary two objectives, together with the game-winning aim. His first aim was scored on a River Dragons energy play within the first interval, as he faked circling the web and deflected it off the skate of William Lavalliere.
His second aim was scored within the second interval after a deflection of Carter Shinkaruk’s stick fed Moore the puck, and fired his shot over the shoulder of William Lavalliere.
Though the Rock Lobsters closed the hole to a one-point deficit, Jestin Somero reset the Dragons’ result in two factors within the third interval.
The River Dragons took the W in regulation, 3-1.
Following the River Dragons’ victory towards Athens, in addition to the Carolina Thunderbirds‘ shootout win over the Monroe Moccasins, Columbus clinched the third place seed within the FPHL Commissioner’s Cup Playoffs.
The Athens Rock Lobsters and Columbus River Dragons will sq. off within the first spherical in Columbus for Recreation 1, and video games two and three (if wanted) will happen in Athens.

The River Dragons will battle the Rock Lobsters once more tonight to complete their weekend sequence. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
