The 31-year-old Tomljanovic, who like Pegula has been battling a left knee damage, mentioned she hopes to be match for the Australian Open.
“I’m so dissatisfied to withdraw from the Brisbane Worldwide, however I wished to be 100 per cent able to compete, which I’m not,” Tomljanovic wrote in an Instagram submit. “I’ll proceed my prep and see you all on the Australian Open.”
